Poe

Sweet Poe. This dear boy has been through so much. He was involved in an altercation with a few other dogs in the home. As a senior, he was especially vulnerable—sometimes younger dogs, especially in a pack environment, can unintentionally target the older ones. We don’t know every detail of what happened, but that may have played a part. His owners did everything right. They rushed him to an emergency clinic as quickly as possible. With heavy hearts, they realized they could not bring him home again or afford the extensive medical care he would need, both now and in the future. Faced with an impossible decision, they chose another way to love him—by entrusting his care to us. Poe is now safe, cherished, and surrounded by compassion. We have promised him comfort, healing, and a future filled with love. Our goal is to find him the perfect family to share his golden years with. He is a brave, gentle, and truly wonderful soul. When Poe is ready, we hope you’ll come meet him. We know that once you do, you’ll fall in love just as we have.
